日本代购-【VATGE:バッジ】カンガルーレザージャケット“VIシリーズ”　実際にはこの革はモータースポーツ　（モトクロス、ロードレースF1）などのドライバーのグローブに使用されてきた革をジャケットに用いたものです。この種の革はハンドル、アクセルスロット、ギアーノブとなど絶妙なタッチが必要とされる製品に使用されています。薄くて丈夫そしてしなやか。カンガルー革はそういった自然の恵みと現代のテクノロジーを使用し、その実力を見せつけています。人間のテクノロジーだけで開発された素材よりも更に上を行く機能性、フィット感をご提供しています。 この革は表面にエンボス加工を施しております。これには2つの理由があります。1つは野生のカンガルーの傷が目立たなくなること。これは野生動物の証で交尾の時などに付けられる傷跡であり、勲章です。2つ目はそのしなやかさです。VATGEはこのこだわりの革を使用してジャケットを製作いたしました。他では決して手に入れることの出来ない特別なアイテムです。 カラー：　ブラック、ブラウン（2色からお選びいただけます）サイズ：　M・L (2サイズ)素材：カンガルーレザー（ヌバック仕上げ、オーストラリア） 企画：日本・オーストラリア共同企画生産国：日本製【VATGE：バッジジャケット】カンガルーレザー（素材）のこだわり：オーストラリアでしか入手する事が出来ない希少価値の高い素材。・家畜など飼育されているものではなく、すべて野生の物を使用している ・国が管理をしている為、年間での捕獲規制があり貴重な素材である・革繊維の違いにより、牛革の3〜10倍の強度があるといわれるほどの強さを持っている・強度があり、しなやかで、軽量 ＊上記のような特性を持っている事に加えて、カンガルー革は牛革と比べると元々の大きさも小さい為、大きなパーツを使う事が困難であるが、VATGEジャケットはどの各パーツもパッチワークではない大きな1枚パネルを大胆に使用して仕立てているのも大きな特徴のひとつです。 カンガルー革の定番と言えば何と言っても　サッカースパイク。軽さを求め　なおかつ強度とフィット感を実現させるのにこの革以外はないといわれている。現在活躍するプロ選手も愛用している。現在　カンガルー革の大半の行き先は大手スポーツメーカーが占めている。そのほかにもモータースポーツ界、特にオートバイレースではこれも定番中の定番。他の革では実現できない　ボディータッチと転倒時の強度、どれをとってもカンガルー革に並ぶ素材はない。しかしながら　野生動物であるカンガルーは　家畜の革と違い多く問題を抱えている。問題と言ってもそれは　人間が一方的に問題にしている事で彼らからしてみれば自然がもたらす　ごく自然な事のように思える・・・　カンガルー革は交差状の繊維組織をもっている。他の動物はほとんどが一方向の組織である、それに対しカンガルーレザーは縦横に網状に組織が形成されている。その大きな理由としては　カンガルーは家畜と違い野生の動物で、周りの天敵から身を守る必要がある。他にもメスを獲得する際に戦って奪い合い、激しい交尾の時にともなう相互の爪跡から身を守るための皮革の構造に由来している。　皮肉な事に強いカンガルーになればなるほどその革に付けられる傷跡は多い。しかし　同種間で付けられる爪あとは　交差状の繊維組織の上皮面で防がれ体へのダメージへは至らないと言われている。製品化するために革をなめすとその傷跡は鮮明だ。はっきりと爪跡が革の表面に現れる・・・。　ごく自然の野生動物特有のマークなのだかがこれがファッション製品にするに最も適さない素材としても評される事もある。もう一つ価格を高騰させる大きな要因は、その独自の革の仕上がりのシェープである。カンガルー革は広げたとき　女性の体の曲線のような形をしている。真ん中が背中で両手、両足と言った感じである。そして脇の下、そして後ろ足の付根の部分の革が非常に薄い。人間の脇の下や足の裏の皮膚が薄いのと同様である。つまり安定的に使える部分が極端に少ないということだ。勿論 強度的にはどの部分も素晴らしいものがあるのだが。 とにかく　カンガルー革は業界では触ってはいけないマティリアルの一つであった。自然動物ということもあり捕獲数も毎年オーストラリアの州によって制限がある。現状では捕獲して駆除しなければならない為、頭数規制の制限などがあり、安定的に入手するのも困難である。
