日本代购-Asobi EffectはオンラインのベーススクールであるAsobi Bass Schoolを主宰するたかとさんのブランドです。 彼自身がかなりのベースマニアで、自ら多くの物事をプロレベルでテストしており、その知見を製品に落とし込んでいます。 本製品はイギリス製OEPトランスを内蔵したベース用プリアンプです。 OEPとはNEVEレプリカで使われるCARNHILLの関連会社です。 トランスを内蔵することで、ライン特有の冷たさが薄れよりウォームでスピーディ、そして少しコンプ感のあるサウンドになります。 有機的なニュアンスが出る印象ですね。 この点は本製品においては大きな個性を発揮しているように感じます。 トランスを使いながらデザインされた良質なサウンドと共に、本製品の大きな魅力がベーシストなら大きく納得せざるを得ない、痒い所に手が届くコントロール系です。 コントロールはBASS, TREBLEのベーシックなEQと、FAT, COLOR, BOTTOMというユニークなEQを搭載。 BASSは40Hzのブースト/カット、Trebleは4.5KHzのブースト/カットが可能。 ブースト/カットの幅は±10dBです。 より大きなブーストが可能な製品もありますが、本製品においてはこれらは実用的な範囲に抑えられています。 Qの広さの絶妙な設計と相まってマックスまで上げても破綻することがありません。 ミュージシャンらしい設計かと思います。 FATはブーストのみのローミッドEQのような印象。 上げても飽和せず、嫌なミドルが出るわけではなく、文字通り少しファットなサウンドになっていきます。 PBにあってJBにないところを補うような使い方が個人的には気に入っています。 COLORはMXR M-80のCOLORスイッチをつまみにしたような印象。 特定の帯域を-15dBまでカットします。 これはQの幅が絶妙に狭く作られており、上げていったときに音量感を減らさず、大事なミドルレンジを失わず、それでいながらよりクリアな低音が得られます。 Bartolini XTCTのミドルカットともよく似ているように思います。 BOTTOMはパッシブのハイカットトーン回路のよう。 上げていくと少しずつ高音域のピークが下にずれていくよう。 ピックで弾く方、スラップで弾く方、またベースによって欲しい高音域のピークは異なりますから、非常に有用に思います。 JBにブーストのみのEQとパッシブトーンのコントロールを搭載する手法はSadowskyやAlleva Coppoloが得意としますが、そうした製品のデザインと似た狙いがあるように感じます。 電源は9VのDCを使う仕様ですが、内部では24Vまで昇圧されています。 あくまで回路上はクリアなままで、歪みのないデザインです。 ベーシストがデザインしたからこそ、ベーシストの琴線に触れる良品。 特にJBなどのPUが2個ついているベースとの相性が抜群に良いと、個人的には感じます。 おすすめです。 文章：嵯峨駿介 メーカー保証付き 頑丈な段ボール箱で発送します。
