日本代购-ADラトレー社オーナーのティムモリソン氏が創設した グラスゴーの蒸留所「クライドサイド」から、 シングルモルト「ストブクロス」初リリース！ 待望の再入荷！ 今回はスコットランドのグラスゴー市内に設立された新しい蒸留所、 クライドサイドから初リリースとなるシングルモルト、 「ストブクロス」をご紹介致します。 このクライドサイド蒸留所は、有限会社スリーリバーズが 輸入代理店として取り扱いの、インディペンデントボトラー、 「ADラトレー社」のオーナーが、2017年に創設した、 全く新しい蒸留所です。 オーナーのティムモリソン氏の曽祖父であるジョンモリソンが グラスゴーのクイーンズドック（大型貨物船の積み下ろし港湾地区）を 建設してから約150年後、その地にクライドサイド蒸留所を 2017年に建設、そして遂にその初のシングルモルトとなる 「ストブクロス」の発売となりました。 クライドサイド蒸留所は、その港湾地区に船の入出港の 指令室である通称「ポンプハウス」の跡地に建てられました。 ティムモリソン氏の父であるスタンリーP.モリソンが、 ウイスキーのビジネスを始めたのが約100年前、 ADラトレー社を設立し、ウイスキーのブローカーを 始めました。 その後、シーバスブラザーズ社なども買収した後、 1963年にはボウモア蒸留所を買収して、あの モリソンボウモア社を立ち上げました。 息子であるティムモリソン氏は、その後他社に渡っていた ADラトレー社を買い戻し、インディペンデント ボトラーとしての活動を始めました。 そして2017年、彼はウイスキー作りを再び始めるべく 「モリソングラスゴーディスティラーズ」社を設立、 クライドサイド蒸留所を稼働させました。 ウイスキーに使われる仕込み水は約60キロ離れた ロッホカトリンの水を100％使用、なんとロッホカトリンは 曽祖父であるジョンモリソンがグラスゴー市内の水道水の 供給源となる貯水池としての創設に携わっていました。 原料となる大麦は全てローランド地方の契約農家から 調達、発酵には約72時間をかけます。 ローランド地方に属しますが2回蒸留で、熟成には高品質の ファーストフィルバーボン樽をメインに、シェリー樽や リチャーしたバーボン樽を使用しています。 商品名となる「ストブクロス」は、蒸留所付近にある 交差点の名前から付けられました。 「ストブクロス」の熟成には約90％がファーストフィルバーボン樽、 残りはシェリー樽を使用しています。 テイスティングしましたが、香りは洋梨、青リンゴ、 ローズ＆ハニー、バニラ、ボディはソフトでスムース、 バニリンな甘みから洋梨やアップル、バナナ、フィニッシュは 優しいビターと心地よいミントが続きます。 ファーストリリースとして素晴らしいクオリティ！ ローランドウイスキーらしい優しくスムースなテイストですが、 ボディは立体感がありしっかりとフィニッシュまで展開していきます。 グラスゴー市内にある、都会派クライドサイド蒸留所！ パッケージとこのソフトなテイストが、グラスゴーの お洒落で感度の高い方々からの新しいウイスキー ムーブメントが期待できます。 都会グラスゴーでこれからどんな歴史を紡いでいくのか 非常に楽しみです！ ピーテッドモルトも実験的に仕込んでいるそうですので、 今後の展開にも期待です。 CLYDESIDE　 “STOBCROSS” 　46%　700ml （JAN : 5060906770006） ＜テイスティングノート＞ 香りはフローラル、フレッシュな甘みとトロピカル、 味はオーチャード（果樹園）フルーツに微かなホワイトペッパー。 ＊少量入荷の限定品の為、お一人様1本限りとなります。 在庫限りで終了となりますのでご了承願います。
