日本代购-建築家・プロダクトデザイナーの寺田尚樹氏による掛時計。フラットな面に対しインデックスを凹に彫ったフェイスデザイン。文字の陰影が白い文字盤に立体感を与え、光の変化に応じて表情を変えます。インテリアの装飾に用いられる素材と、コンピュータ制御された工作機械による技術の転用が発想がきっかけ。デザイナー曰く、「グラフィックをフォムルとして扱う事を試みた作品」です。「CARVED COLORED」はグッドデザイン賞を受賞したCARVEDシリーズの文字盤に着彩したバリエーション。色をつけることにより、彫り込んだ文字がグラデーションのようにも見え、 ミニマムなフォルムながらも空間に色のアクセントを与えます。落ち着いた色合いのオレンジ・グリーン・ブルー・グレーの4色展開です。●Φ240 D42mm●480g●エースライト(無機質系人造木材)attention!※取寄せ品の為、お届けに1〜2ヶ月お待ち頂きます。（クレジットまたは銀行振込にてご注文ください）※ご入金確認後にメーカー本国へ正式発注手配を致します。以上何卒ご理解の程、宜しくお願い申し上げます。空間に調和する陰影のウォールクロック「CARVED(カーヴド)」は建築家・プロダクトデザイナーである寺田尚樹がデザインした、文字盤を立体的に表現したウォールクロックです。周囲の光が彫刻刀で彫り取ったような文字に影を落とすことで、立体感を強調しながら日々刻々と表情を変えていきます。寺田氏は、デザインの過程で掛時計の後ろに必ずある「壁」に着目。本体に、室内装飾用の建材として用いられる素材を採用し、マットな梨地塗装を施すことで、あらゆる質感の壁と調和する時計としてカーヴドを形にしました。グラフィックをフォルムとして表現多くの場合、平面のグラフィックとして表される掛時計の文字盤ですが、カーヴドは時計全体のフォルムによって表現しています。その手法は逆算的なもので、素材である「無機質系人造木材」から、切削加工によく使われるコンピューター制御のドリル刃が採用され、ドリルの動きに合わせて円と直線の動きで表現できる書体が設計されています。その工程と、削った断面を視覚的に見せるため、文字はあえて文字盤からはみ出させ、グラフィックをフォルムとして表現するデザインを生み出しています。豊富なバリエーションカーヴドはバリーション豊かなコレクションです。文字盤の書体はアラビア数字以外にもローマ数字、棒指標から選ぶことができ、カラーや素材が異なるモデルも存在します。鳩時計になったCARVED(カーヴド・クク)、振り子時計になったCARVEDSWING(カーヴド・スウィング)、完璧なラインの楕円といわれるSuperEllipseをフォルムに採用したCARVED SE(カーヴド・エスイー)のような、異なるアプローチで表現されたものもあり、あらゆるインテリアに合わせたコーディネートが可能です。建築家として数多くの物件を手がける傍ら、プロダクトデザイナーとしても活躍する寺田 尚樹（てらだ・なおき）。明治大学工学部建築学科に学び、94年には英国建築家協会建築学校（AAスクール）ディプロマコースを修了。帰国後は、建築・プロダクトデザイン以外にも、ブランドンディングや、ディレクション分野にも活躍の場を広げていきます。2003年には自身の事務所、有限会社テラダデザイン一級建築士事務所設立。以降「空間」「プロダクト」「グラフィック」の3要素を空間を構成する重要な要素として捉え「楽しい気持ちや豊かな気持ち、そして、誰かと目と目を見合わせてくすっと微笑んでしまうような空気」を提案するデザインを行なっています。鋳物・漆塗りの時計枠の製造に端を発し、半世紀以上にわたって日本の時計づくりをリードする企業、タカタレムノス。天然木、磁器、ガラス、珪藻土など多岐にわたる素材を、職人によるハンドクラフトによって仕上げる高品質なものづくりで広く知られています。80年代から参入したデザインクロックの分野では、日本プロダクトデザイン史にその名を刻む巨匠、渡辺力による 「RIKICLOCK」シリーズを始め、国内気鋭のデザイナーたちとのコラボレーションから数々のウォールクロック・テーブルクロックを多数発表。塚本カナエによる置時計DROPSDRAWTHEEXISTANCE、TENSION、FIREWORKSが、世界有数のプロダクトデザイン賞である独レッドドットデザイン賞を受賞するなど世界的な評価を得ています。
