日本代购-Description Fender社の元マスタービルダーとして数多くの名器を造り上げて来た「John Suhr」。そんな彼が1997年に自身の納得できるハイクオリティ・ギターを造り上げるために立ち上げたブランド「Suhr Guitars」です。ギターの最高峰を目指し、完璧なトーンを追及するなどFenderというブランドを知り尽くした彼ならではの製作技術の高さを肌で感じることの出来るハイブランドです。 カナダ・トロント出身のギタリスト兼シンガーで、大学の同級生で結成されたバンド『Big Wreck』でデビュー後、自身のソロプジェクト『Thornley』で活躍するイアン・ソーンリー（Ian Thornley）のシグネチャー・モデルのご紹介です。Classic JMモデルを基調としたシェイプに、ボディには低〜高音域までクセの無いサウンドをアウトプットするローステッド・アルダー、ネックには硬めでクリアかつ歯切れの良いローステッド・メイプル、22フレット仕様の指板には倍音豊かで優れたサスティーンを生むインディアン・ローズウッドを採用するなどサー・ギターズの厳しい基準をクリアした軽量な材のみ採用されております。ボディとネックに施されたロースト処理は、無酸素の状態で木材を加熱（200℃程度）することで、水分を飛ばし安定した材に仕上げた木材で、ネック反りなどに強く抜群のコンディションを保持。またネックシェイプはイアン好みにデザインされた大きめなグリップのVシェイプ、コードとソロライン両方に対応するよう設計された16インチ・ラディアスの指板、滑らかなフィンガリング＆速く正確なプレイを可能にするジャンボ・フレット、フレットの素材はステンレス製ですので音抜けをアップしながらもフレットの摩耗を最小限に抑えるなどプレイヤーのパフォーマンスを最大限に引き出します。 ピックアップ・システムにはHSHレイアウトで「SSH+」「V70」「SSV」の組み合わせを搭載。ブリッジ・ポジションの「SSH+」からは高音域から低音域まで非常にバランスの取れたサウンドでハイゲインでも音の分離が良く、パワー感のあるヌケの良いサウンドが印象的で、「V70」からは60年代後半〜70年代を彷彿するサウンドを甘く上品で歯切れの良いタイトな低音域から煌びやかな高音域まで対応、「SSV」からは明るめで煌びやかなサウンド・キャラクターを持ちつつもレンジが広く埋もれないサウンドが特徴的です。さらにボディ6弦側に設置された2つのスライダー・スイッチと、本機専用に設計された5Wayセレクターとの組み合わせにより多彩なサウンドメイキングを実現。ペグにはSuhrオリジナルのロック式を搭載しスピーディーな弦交換をお約束、ブリッジにはトーンプロス製のハードテイル・ブリッジ搭載することにより見事に弦振動を吸収し、豊かなサスティーンと生鳴り感をアウトプットいたします。そしてイアン・ソーンリーのサインがレーザー刻印されたヘッド裏も注目のポイント。レトロでクラシックなデザインながらも拘りの詰まったシグネチャー・モデルに仕上がっております。 Specification Body Shape: Classic JM Body Finish: Gloss Body Wood: Roasted Alder Neck Wood: Roasted Maple Neck Finish: Satin Fingerboard Wood: Indian Rosewood Neck Back Shape: THORNLEY V SHAPE .875"-.970" Fingerboard Radius: 16" Frets: Jumbo Stainless Steel (.057"x.110") Nut: 1.650" Tusq Headstock: Laser Engraved Ian Thornley Signature Bridge Pickup: SSH+ (Parchment) Middle Pickup V70 (Parchment) Neck Pickup: SSV(Parchment) 2x Slider Switches: Series/Parallel For Each Pickup.
