日本代购-明治から続く酒造りの系譜、伝統と革新が息づくウイスキー造り江井ヶ嶋酒造株式会社が創立されたのが明治21年（1888年）。同じ敷地内で7つの木造蔵があるのは日本でも珍しく、現在もなおそれぞれが別の役割を持ち7つの蔵すべてが使用されています。 江井ヶ嶋酒造は情熱・探究心を持ちながら、常に時代の一歩先を行く新たな需要に対処できるよう研究開発を繰り返してきました。そして大正8年（1919年）に蒸溜工場を竣工。ウイスキー製造免許を取得し地ウイスキー「ホワイトオーク」をリリースしました。 日本最古のモルトウイスキー蒸溜所と言われるサントリー山崎蒸溜所の建設が始まったのが大正12年（1923年）であることから、日本のウイスキーの歴史と共に歩み、ウイスキー造りにおける黎明期から製造に取り組んできた伝統を誇ります。ホワイトオークは90年にもわたるウイスキーの歴史を経て、2007年に同社を代表するシングルモルトのブランド「あかし」が誕生しました。 清酒造りの技術を活かした独自の味わい昭和59年（1984年）には、ポットスチルやウォッシュバックなどスコットランド式蒸留設備を備えた新たなウイスキー蒸溜所を竣工。 原料の大麦麦芽は、スコッチの本場イギリスから取り寄せたものを使用して質の高いウイスキー造りを続けています。 また、特筆すべきはウイスキー造りに清酒造りの技術を活かしている点です。 江井ヶ嶋酒造では、仕込み水に清酒にも用いている六甲山系の花崗岩と海岸の貝殻層を通って湧き出る良質な地下水を使用し、酒母造りなど伝統手法を応用することで独自の味わいを追求。伝統手法とスコットランド式設備を融合させたウイスキー造りが行われています。 木造蔵の熟成が生み出す芳醇な味わいと香り江井ヶ嶋酒造の敷地内には、全国的にも珍しい7つの木造蔵が現存しており、それぞれ異なる機能を持ちながらすべてが現在も現役で使用されています。 これらの蔵は酒の熟成に適した温湿度を保つ構造を持ち、ウイスキー「あかし」の原酒は木造蔵のひとつ「二番蔵」で最低3年以上熟成されます。原酒はオーク樽内部でゆっくりと呼吸し、樽の成分と溶け合いながら琥珀色に色づき、重厚な香りと芳醇な味わいを備えた成熟したモルト原酒になります。 こうして長い熟成のときを刻み、地ウイスキー「あかし」が完成するのです。 あかしブランドを代表するシングルモルトウイスキー江井ヶ嶋酒造が手掛けるあかしブランドを代表する地ウイスキー「ホワイトオーク・シングルモルトあかし」は日本のクラフトウイスキーとして国内外から注目を集めています。 2種類の樽で熟成された原酒をブレンドしているのが特徴で、アメリカンオークシェリー樽で貯蔵したモルト原酒とバーボン樽で貯蔵したモルト原酒を絶妙にブレンドしています。個性の異なる原酒を合わせることで香りや味わいに豊かな奥行きがもたらされるのです。 また、ノンチルフィルター（冷却ろ過せず）&ノンカラー（着色せず）で瓶詰めする事でモルト本来の風味を活かした、まろやかで深みのある味わいに仕上げています。 ITEM INFORMATION シェリー樽後熟ならではの 果実感と芳醇 複雑な香味を感じられる一本 BLENDED WHISKY EIGASHIMA SHERRY CASK FINISH ブレンデッド 江井ヶ嶋 シェリーカスクフィニッシュ 「ブレンデッド 江井ヶ嶋」は英国産麦芽100％にこだわったモルトウイスキーとグレーンウイスキーをブレンドした後、シェリー樽で後熟しました。 シェリー樽後熟ならではの果実感、芳醇で複雑な香味を感じられる一本となっています。 Tasting Note フローラルで華やかな香り。 ほど良いボディー感とタンニンがあり、マイルドでスウィートな味わい。 ■東京ウイスキー＆スピリッツコンペティション（TWSC）2020/銅賞受賞 商品仕様・スペック 生産者江井ヶ嶋酒造 生産地日本/兵庫県 タイプブレンデッド・ウイスキー 原材料モルト、グレーン 内容量500ml 度数50.00度
