日本代购-WILD THINGS（ワイルドシングス）MONSTER PARKA TYPE2（モンスターパーカー タイプ2）ミリタリー PCU LEVEL7 中綿 クライマシールド 撥水 ロングコート オリジナルをリスペクトしたワイシン版モンスターパーカー WILD THINGS（ワイルドシングス）は、アメリカを代表する登山家、ジョン・ポーチャードとマリー・ムニエにより、1981年にアメリカはマサチューセッツ州のノースコンウェイにて設立。 数々の過酷な登山経験を活かし、"軽くてタフでなければならない"というコンセプトのもと、クオリティの高い製品づくりを行っている。 特に新素材の採用には積極的で、その優れた機能性により多くのプロ登山家の支持を集めている。 その信頼は厚く、アメリカ陸軍や海軍にも継続的に採用されているほど。 機能面ではこれほど確立されているのに、デザイン面ではサッパリしていて、アウトドアっぽくないのがまた魅力的。 まさに、街使いに持ってこいのブランドです。 こちらはWILD THINGSの従来のMONSTER PARKAに比べ、オリジナルであるPCU LEVEL7 TYPE2にデザインやサイズ感、中綿量を近づけたニューモデル。 元々オリジナルのPCU LEVEL7は米国特殊作戦軍（United States Special Operations Forces）に支給されていたもの。 環境下に応じて7段階のレイヤリングを使い分ける、陸軍のレイヤリングシステム“ECWCS（エクワックス）”と同様の設計を採用している。 ただ、多くの兵士に支給されているECWCSと違い、PCUは米軍の中でも選ばれた精鋭部隊にしか支給されないため、なかなか払い下げ品などがまとまって見つかることは稀。 だから、多くのブランドからレプリカやサンプリング品が登場しているが、正直あまり完成度は高くない。 その点、WILD THINGSは実際にECWCS LEVEL7等を納入していた実績があるので、信頼度も高いし、作りもミルスペック準拠なので安心できる。 さて、このTYPE2は通称モンスターパーカーと呼ばれる非常に大きな作りの中綿コートで。極寒の環境下でレイヤリングの一番外側に着るアイテムである。 バックパックを背負った上からでも着用できるように、ザックの奥行きを考慮して後ろ身頃が長めにデザインされている。 イメージ的にはM-65フィッシュテールパーカーのような感じ。 ただ、オリジナルの場合だとレイヤリング前提＋アメリカ人の体型基準のため、想像以上にデカい。 いくらオーバーサイズと言っても限度があるように、なかなか綺麗なシルエットで着ることは困難だ。 そこで、このモデルではオーバーサイズでありながら、シルエットをWILD THINGS流にモディファイ。 中綿量を調整したことで膨らみすぎないスッキリとした印象に。 あくまでもオリジナルに準拠しているので大きくは変更されていないが、より日本人に着やすいように調整されている。 もちろんレイヤリングは余裕なので、厚手のものを着たい方やレイヤードスタイルが好きな方も安心。 表地は70D×70Dの耐久撥水ナイロンを使用。 多少の雨や雪なら全く気にする必要がなく弾いてくれる。 中綿にはCLIMASHIELD COMBAT（クライマシールドコンバット）と呼ばれる、戦地や険しい自然など過酷な環境下での使用のために開発された米国最新の化学繊維を採用。 米国製のこの特別な中綿は「Berry Compliant」（米国で国防製品の素材調達において、国産品使用を義務付ける法律に準拠）を満たし、かつ収納力に優れ、耐久性があり、AquaBanの機能によって濡れても多湿な環境でも保温性を発揮する。 加えてダウンよりも軽くて扱いもラクなので、あまり神経質になる必要がないのも嬉しい。 今期はウエストにドローコードが追加された。 ドローコードを絞ることによってシルエットに緩急がつけられるので、コーディネートやその日の気分によって変えてみるのも面白い。 オリジナルの良さは損ねず、ファッションとしてうまく昇華された一着だ。 ■商品番号/ WT24101SN メーカー希望小売価格はメーカー商品タグに基づいて掲載しています
