日本代购-SEVEN BY SEVEN（セブンバイセブン）REWORK BAL COLLAR COAT（リワークバルカラーコート）‐Strike off fabrics‐ ステンカラーコート デッドストック ウール アソート 解体 再構築 一つひとつの素材の違いを楽しむ SEVEN BY SEVEN（セブン バイ セブン）は、2015年秋冬シーズンにスタートしたブランドである。 ヴィンテージの知識と独自の感性を融合させ、自由な世界観を表現している。 その背景にあるのは、ゴールドラッシュやカウンターカルチャーの象徴として知られ、アートや思想が交差する街、サンフランシスコ。 ブランド名は、この街の面積が「7マイル×7マイル（49平方マイル）」であることに由来する。 デザイナー・川上淳也氏は、この地でのバイイング経験を通じ、ヴィンテージを希少性ではなく“モノ自体の価値”で捉える視点を培った。 生産背景に縛られることなく、フラットな目線で古着と向き合ってきた彼の姿勢は、90年代の日本におけるヴィンテージブームの中でも一貫して変わらなかった。 マニュアルや前例に頼らず、自身の感覚を信じて生み出される服は、懐かしさとコンテンポラリーが同居する独創的な存在である。 単なるヴィンテージの焼き直しではなく、素材やディテールに宿る価値を新たな形で提示している。 SEVEN BY SEVENは、ファッションの奥深さと美しさを再認識させるブランドである。 このロング丈のバルカラーコートはマス見本（衣服が本格的に生産される前の生地見本）で生地色を選ぶ際のカラースワッチ（色見本）で使われていたデッドストックのウール素材を使用している。 あまりピンと来ない人も居るだろう。 僕らもよく様々なブランドさんと別注を作らせてもらっているが、最初にどんな素材や生地で作りたいかといった時に必ず出てくるのが、マス見本やカラースワッチである。 それを参考にしながら製品を組み立てていくのだが、これらはあくまで見本。 一つひとつの素材や生地は切れ端のようなものでしかない。 つまり、見本で使われていた異なる素材の切れ端をすこーしずつ、地道に収集してようやく出来たのがこのコートってこと。 語彙力がないような表現だが、あえて言わせてもらおう。 めちゃくちゃすごい！そしてやばすぎる！ 先染め素材を作る際、経糸・緯糸を様々なバリエーションで試織した生地は縦横ともに異なる色の糸を複数回使用するため、量産には全くと言っていいほど適さない素材。 あくまで、素材を作成する前工程で生地のカラーリングの参考としてのみ使用されてきたが、膨大なコストが掛かるため、現代ではそれすらもなかなか作ることができなくなってきている。 しかし、このマス見本生地の持つ素材の面白さに目をつけた川上氏はデッドストックの素材を地道に収集。 今回ようやく服作りができる量を収集できたことから、いくつかの型でリリースされることとなった。 なかでも、素材の面白さが一番際立つのがこのコートだ。 パッと見は比翼仕立ての普通のラグランスリーブコートに見える。 けれども、パーツごとで使われているウールの素材感が違っていたり、裾へ向かっていくにつれてグラデーションのように色合いが変化していったりする様は麗しく、アソートによって生まれる一点一点の柄の違いも楽しめる。 それはさながら美術館で見た芸術作品に心を奪われた時のようにSEVEN BY SEVENというブランドの世界観にどっぷりと浸ることができる瞬間でもある。 もはや恍惚の境地。 プレタポルテでありながら、まるでオートクチュールのように圧倒的な存在感を放つ一着。 大量生産・大量消費の現代では滅多に味わえない魅力が詰め込まれたアートピースだと言える。 ■商品番号/ 800-4210190-m-sz メーカー希望小売価格はメーカー商品タグに基づいて掲載しています
