日本代购-ページ押えとページめくりという半ば相反する機能の両立を極めてシンプルな形で実現した＜Gimbleブックホルダー＞に、とうとう進化版が登場！ 従来のGimbleは、薄っぺらいとはいえ、本を開いた分の長さがあり、また本のサイズによって2種類を使い分ける必要があるため、携帯性にはちと問題がありました。 やはり開発者自身も問題点を認識し、その解決に向けて研鑽を重ねていたようです。開発者の「とうとう出来たよ！」という嬉しいニュースが飛び込んできました。 新しいGimbleは、その名も「Gimbleトラベラー」。 従来のGimbleの「ゆるい系」のコンセプトのおおらかな魅力はそのままに、 折り畳み＆伸張性により、1つで文庫本からA5サイズまでカバーする携帯に便利な製品に生まれ変わりました。 本好きは、いつでも、どこでも、ちょいの間でも、本を開きたいもの。通勤電車で立ったままとか、ランチタイムにサンドイッチをほおばりながらとか。 そんな時に、両手を使わず、本がパタンと閉じるのを何とかしたい、しかも、ページめくりもラクにしたいというのは、切実な願い。 ページを開いたままにキープする道具の中で、 片手持ちで読書をする際に使えるモノとしては、私どものラインナップでもFlipKlip（フリップクリップ）があります。 また、書見台（ブックスタンド）の中でも、 BookGem（ブックジェム）、BookBax-mini（ブックバックスミニ）は片手持ち読書で使えます。 これらはページをがっちり押さえ込んでくれる「しっかり系」です。 両側のページはほぼ水平に開き、しっかりとホールドします。しかしその分、ページめくりはしにくいという欠点があります。 通勤電車やランチタイムなど「手で本を支えて読む」シーンの場合、このページめくりがしにくい・・・というのも、大いなる？フラストレーションの元。 この＜ページ押え＞vs＜ページめくり＞の戦い？に折り合いをつける解決策が「ゆるい系」という発想だったわけです。 ページ押えとしては、いささかアバウトな感じがするかもしれませんが、力はいらず、適当に持っているだけでOK。 そして「ゆるい系」ゆえにページめくりがかなりラクなんです。 もしかしたら、（特に非力な人にとっては）ThumbThing（サムシング）より吊り革読書には適しているかも。 次に、机上での読書ですが、従来のGimbleではページは「く」の字状にしか開かず、机の上に置くと、ギッコンバッタンとやじろべいのように左右に倒れてしまいました。 机の上に置いて使うには少し問題がありました（慣れればまぁ、やじろべいも気にはならなくなるんですが）。 新バージョンは、ホルダーの中央をヒンジ構造にすることで、「へ」の字状になり、この問題もかなりクリアされました。 ヒンジ構造は、折り畳み式にして携帯性を改善するため（だから「トラベラー」と銘打った）だと思いますが、机上での安定性にも貢献しています。 机、テーブルのあるところでの読書なんだから、「しっかり系」でいいんじゃないか！ いや、メモを取りながら（私の場合はご飯を食べながら）だと、ページめくりのたびにペンを置かなきゃならない（手を拭かなきゃならない）のはツラい・・・。 好みは別れるところかもしれませんが、これ、慣れれば慣れるほど、ナカナカのもんだとうなっちゃうかも。 アームは左右に伸縮性があります。幅広い本のサイズに対応するだけでなく、ページめくりのし易さを好みに加減できる利点もあります。 いったんヒイキになってしまうと、机の上で使う時でも（特にながら族にとっては）最も手軽に使用できるアイテム・・・のような気がします。 コンセプトは従来のGimbleと変わらないのですが、構造が超シンプルから脱し、＜ヒンジ＞という耐久性の面ではネックになりがちなものになったため、用心には用心をか重ねた。 毎日、いろんなサイズの本に取っ替え引っ替え付けかえて、一年間、かなりハードな使い方をしてみました。 その結果、危惧は杞憂に終わり、一見繊細な構造にも関わらず、抜群の耐久性が明らかになりました。一年（通常の使い方からすれば数年分酷使）経ってもビクともしません。 デザイン・開発イギリス。製造は中国。M.A.P.直輸入（日本総代理店） この商品は定形外普通郵便でお送りいたします カラー ピンク size 150mm×50mm（たたんだ時） アームを伸ばすと170mmまで伸びます
