日本代购-■サイズ：約W24〜30×H10〜13×D21〜26cm （サイズには2〜5cmの違いがあります） ■重さ：約200g ■素材：シダ ■原産国：日本製・国産 ※自然素材のため重さに50g程度の違いがある場合がございます。シダ編み楕円かご シダ編み楕円籠は、シダの茎を使い編み込まれた昔ながらの籠です。水に強く丈夫なことから食器を洗った後に乾燥させる茶碗籠やお風呂場の脱衣籠として多用されてきました。最近ではおしゃれなキッチン雑貨としても人気です。 シダ籠の特性 まるで硬質のプラスチックのような素材感だけあって、防水性、防湿性に優れ水や湿気に強く台所などでの使用には最適のかごとして重宝されてきました。使うほどに味わい深く変色し、何十年と長くご愛用頂けます。 近くの山に自生するシダシダは、山歩きなどに出かけても普通に自生している身近な植物の一つですが、昔から生活道具のひとつとして籠編みの素材として使われてきました。シダ編み籠には粘りのあるウラジロ科のコシダを使います、昔からシダの茎が節もなくスッーと長く真っ直ぐに伸びて、その表皮は磨きでもかけたかのようにツヤツヤと綺麗で手に触れた感触もすべすべで独特の山の素材だと思ってきました。猿捕茨とシダシダの伐採は10月から4月末まで、雪が降ると粘りが出ると言われます。自然のシダですから大きさも様々、茎の長さや太さで編み上がる籠のサイズが決まってしまいますので材料集めが良質の籠づくりには欠かせません。秋に赤い実をつける猿捕茨（さるとりいばら）の近くには伸びの良いシダがあると職人は話します。シダ編みかごの釜上げ集められたシダ材は専用釜で2時間程度煮たてます。柔らかくなったシダ材を更に手で入念にしごいて、しなりと粘りのある素材にしていく工程は力の必要な大変な手仕事です。熱湯処理した後、乾燥しないように保存した材料を1〜2週間の間に籠に使いきります。その期間を過ぎると硬くなって籠に編めなくなりますが再び熱湯処理をすると柔らかくなるものの今度は耐久性が低くなるので多くの職人は2週間でシダを使い切っています。シダ屋実は自分の小さい頃まではシダ屋さんという専門に商売をする店があったと言います。虎竹の里から車ですぐの小さな漁師町久礼にも2軒の店舗があり、虎竹の古里である焼坂の山は大きなシダが育っていたことから伐採に来た事があると聞いたこともあります。高知県だけでなく県外では大きな問屋さんもあって海外輸出もされていたほど一般的な生活用品としてシダ籠は流通していました。失われた技古くから日本では茶碗籠や洗濯籠として広く一般のご家庭で使われてきたシダ編み籠ですが、取扱いの難しい素材としても知られプラスチックの登場と共に暮らしの中から姿を消していきます。山から伐採してきた素材は釜上げされて時間が経つと硬化してしまうため一気に編み込む必要がありますが、自然素材で決まったサイズが安定供給できない事や熟練の職人不足などが重なり次第にその技は失われていったのです。幼い日の記憶幼い頃のお客（隣近所が集まる宴席）ではシダ編み籠は現役で活躍していました。大きな食器籠が沢山の洗い物の水切理カゴとして使われていたのです。祖母の使っていた古いシダ編み籠を手にしながら、日本の伝統の技であり、山の幸を活かしてきた先人の思いを繋ぐ身近で素朴なシダ籠を、もう一度思い出していただきたいと願っています。日本の美しい里山から生み出されてきた手仕事の籠は、自然と共存してきた先人の生き方を知ることそのもののようです。 レコード（底編み） シダ編みかごの底編みはレコードと呼ばれる円盤状の何本ものシダの茎をかさねて交差した編み込みになっていて堅牢そのもの。もともと重たい食器類を入れるのに使っていたので耐久性を考えた作りになっているのです。底部分は足付きのように高さがあるので床に接することがなく通気性に優れています。 サイズ 天然素材のシダの長さや性質をそのまま活かして編み上げていますので、サイズ表記は目安とお考えください。大きさ、形や色目が写真と若干違う場合があります。また製法や職人の手によって編み目が多少異なる場合もあります。 ※ご注意ください 裏底からは鋭利なシダヒゴが飛び出ている場合があります。衣類などを引っかけたり、お怪我をされたりしないようお気を付けください。
