日本代购-■サイズ：約直径40×H16cm(持ち手までの高さ：約35cm) ■重さ：500g ■素材：メゴ笹 ■原産国：日本製・国産失われた暮らしの道具 竹虎には、昔はあたりまえだった道具たちがいくつかあります。今ではプラスチックや新素材、安価に大量生産される品々におされて消えかけたり、忘れられたり、なくなったり。そんな道具の中に竹皮ぞうりがあります。ご存じの方はあまりいないかも知れませんが、この竹皮ぞうりはほんの数十年前までは小学校の上履きとして履かれていた日常使いの道具でした。板張りの校舎で遊び盛りの小学生が走ったり、飛んだり、はねたり…。実際の暮らしの中で鍛えられた一流の道具でしたので丈夫なのも頷けます。忘れられかけていたこの逸品が近年では少しづつ良さが見直されお陰様でみなさまにも広く知っていただけるようになり 本当にありがたいと思っています。 幻の籠、復活 実は、このメゴ笹かごも竹皮ぞうりのように昔は一般的な道具だったのに消えかかり、なくなっていた逸品の一つです。当社でも「幻の籠」といわれて、入社してから数年間は話だけで見たことがなかった籠です。ようやく一人だけ残っていた職人さんにどうにかお話させていただいてまた作っていただけるようになりました。でも、ご高齢のうえ、材料の上質なメゴ笹があまりなくって本当になかなか編み上がりません。竹は伐採の時期もきまっていますから、一年のうちいつでも伐採して製作できるものでもなく、やはり「幻の籠」でした。 本物を届ける ご年輩の方なら、ご覧になったことのある方もおられるかも知れませんが若い方はほとんどご存じないと思います。これだけの仕事のできる職人さんが一人しかいなくて、当社でも3～4年間欠品あつかいになっていた幻のメゴ笹かごです。こういう本物をあと何年ご提供できるのかわかりませんが、こんな物が日本にはあったんだ、と言うことを知るだけでもいいと思います。 強靭なしなりの素材、メゴ笹 メゴ笹は一般的には酉の市でオタフクを飾ることからオカメザサ、あるいは神楽に使うカグラザサと呼ばれます。稈の高さが1～2メートル、直径が3～5ミリと小さいことから笹と名前が付いていますが竹の仲間で、細いながらも非常に丈夫で強い性質を持っています。良くしなり強靱な繊維をもったメゴ笹は割ったりせずにそのまま丸竹の状態で籠に製作するのですが、伐採してから時間が経つにつれて硬くなるため手早く編み込む必要があります。丸竹のまま編まれた籠は、ケバ立ちや、ささくれがなく表面はつるつるツヤツヤで小さなお子様が素手でふれても大丈夫な事から洗濯籠などに多用されてきました。 持ち手 珍しい手付きタイプ、今までこのような籠はありませんでした。メゴ笹の丸竹をねじり込んだ頑丈な持ち手、やはり持ち運びには断然便利です。 底編み 何本もの竹を重ねた編み込みは堅牢そのもの。上げ底になっているので、通気性もばっちりです。 経年変色 竹製品は、竹を伐ったばかりの青々とした製品から時が経つにつれて少しづつ色が落ち着いていきます。だんだんと渋い色目に変化し使うごとに艶がましてくる竹細工の風合いをお楽しみいただきたいと思っています。 サイズ 天然素材を手作りしておりますので、形や色目、大きさが写真と若干違う場合があります。 ※保管方法 保管の際には直射日光を避け、風通しの良い場所でお願いいたします。ビニール袋など通気性の悪いものにいれての保管はカビの原因となりますのでご注意ください。 ※細い竹の毛羽立ちが出ている場合がございますのでお取り扱いにはご注意ください。
