日本代购-100年以上変わらない『バルバレスコ』を手掛ける、伝統的なワイナリー！ グラッパの協会の設立メンバーでもあるロアーニャが、バローロのネッビオーロの搾りかすより造る蒸留酒グラッパ。 「ロアーニャ」は、150年以上に亘ってバルバレスコを造り続ける、伝統的なワイナリーです。高い品質にも関わらず近年までイタリア国内でもほとんど名を知られていない造り手でしたが、2009年イタリアを代表するワインガイドのひとつ『エスプレッソ』誌において、「バルバレスコ クリケット パイエ」1999ヴィンテージが、数千本の中から2本のみという、その年最高のワイン(20点満点獲得。もう一本はあの、ジャコモ コンテルノのバローロ リゼルヴァ モンフォルティーノ)に選ばれたことで一躍有名になりました。 「グラッパ・ディ・バローロ」は、バルバレスコのネッビオーロの搾りかすを使用。不連続蒸気流方式の間接熱で作動する銅蒸留器を使用して搾りかすを蒸留することで、留出物の純度を守る。蒸留後は樽で熟成され、アルコール度数は45%。生産量は非常に限られており、1回につき200～300本程度。 グラッパの協会の設立メンバーでもあるロアーニャ。ミレジムのグラッパまで造っていたりと、ワインと同じ様にグラッパにも非常に強いこだわりをもっています。 Roagna Grappa di Barolo ロアーニャ グラッパ・ディ・バローロ 生産地：イタリア ピエモンテ州 バローロ ぶどう品種：ネッビオーロ アルコール度数：45.0% 味わい：グラッパ 蒸留酒 ブランデー 辛口Roagna　/　ロアーニャ 100年以上変わらない『バルバレスコ』を手掛ける、伝統的なワイナリー！ 「ロアーニャ」は、150年以上に亘ってバルバレスコを造り続ける、伝統的なワイナリーです。高い品質にも関わらず近年までイタリア国内でもほとんど名を知られていない造り手でしたが、2009年イタリアを代表するワインガイドのひとつ『エスプレッソ』誌において、「バルバレスコ クリケット パイエ」1999ヴィンテージが、数千本の中から2本のみという、その年最高のワイン(20点満点獲得。もう一本はあの、ジャコモ コンテルノのバローロ リゼルヴァ モンフォルティーノ)に選ばれたことで一躍有名になりました。 歴史は古く1880年まで遡ります。1890年にバルバレスコが初めて造られたので、それ以前から「ロアーニャ」はワインを造っていたということになります。1929年に「モンテフィーコ」、1953年には「パイエ」、1961年には「アジリ」を取得していきました。現当主の父アルフレッド・ロアーニャの最初のヴィンテージは1971年で、「エリオ・アルターレ」と同世代になります。あまり知られていませんが、「アルフレッド」は「エリオ」と共に栽培や醸造を研究していました。2001年からは現当主で息子の「ルカ」が参加し、父親と共にワイン造りを行っています。2007年には各畑の樹齢毎に分けて醸造を開始したことで畑毎に「ヴィティ・ヴェッキエ」と通常の畑名ワインに分類されました。 畑では100年以上前から化学肥料は勿論、有機肥料も一度も使ったことがありません。春先に刈り込まれる下草がその役割を果たしてくれます。彼等の畑のネッビオーロは苗木屋から購入したものではなく、その畑で育ち順応してきた樹を「マサル・セレクション」で残しています。色々なクローンが混在していることが重要で、それぞれの畑に残っているクローンには意味があると考えていて、その畑の樹以外の樹を植えません。樹が死んだ場合、隣の樹の枝を地中に潜らせて先端を地表に出しておきます。地中の枝から根が伸び、枝が樹に成長していくことで苗木を植樹せずに親樹の個性を残していきます。「ロアーニャ」の樹齢に対する考え方は他の造り手とは全く違い、樹齢20年以下は彼等にとって「赤ちゃん」です。ランゲ・ロッソに使われる。樹齢40年以上の樹のみでバローロ、バルバレスコが造られ、80年以上の樹のみが「ヴィティ・ヴェッキエ」と呼ばれるキュヴェに使われます。 1989年にはカスティリオーネ・ファレットの「ラ・ピラ」を取得。3方が崖と森に囲まれた畑で砂質土壌。黒く重い砂層は海底が隆起した層で香を嗅ぐと磯の香がします。白く軽い砂層は石灰を多く含んでいる層でアルプスに由来する層で、凝固した砂由来の土壌は葡萄の成長に必要な窒素が極端に少ないのが特徴です。葡萄の成長は粘土質より遅く、収穫も遅れ、複雑味を得ます。最後に「ロアーニャ」では100日間という他の造り手では考えられない長いマセラシオンを施しています。
